Stapehill Abbey

Situated on outskirts of Dorset town of Ferndown, Stapehill Abbey dating back to the 19th Century is now well regarded for it’s peacefull gardens.

The award winning gardens are open throughout the year and offer a variety of plants and colour. Staphill also offers access to the old abbey, the nun’s chapel has been fully-restored and the nineteenth century buildings and Cloisters are a perfect locatrion for history lovers to see day to day life during the last century. Indeed take a coffee at the cafe and you’ll right where the nuns would walk from building to building, taking in the tiles and memorials to some of the Nun’s from years ago.

Stapehill is well known for arts and crafts, various craftsmen work at the site and a variety of goods can be seen for sale in thier workshops. Stapehill features a variety of events throughout the year, for the children Christmas is extra special as the abbey is abundant with the sound of choirs and bells and if your lucky an extra special guest in the guise of Father Christmas.
